About the role
AI is core to how mightbank stays safe and feels effortless. You’ll own models and LLM-powered systems end to end — from fraud and AML signals to the assistant and insights customers see in-app — balancing accuracy, latency, cost, and explainability in a regulated environment.
What you'll do
- Design, train, and ship models for fraud detection and transaction monitoring
- Build LLM-powered features: in-app assistant, smart categorisation, support automation
- Own the full lifecycle — data, training, evaluation, deployment, monitoring
- Set up guardrails, evaluation harnesses, and human-in-the-loop review
- Work with risk and compliance to keep models explainable and auditable
What we're looking for
- 3+ years building and shipping ML systems in production
- Strong Python and modern ML/LLM tooling (PyTorch, inference, RAG, evals)
- Experience taking models from notebook to reliable production service
- Pragmatism about accuracy vs. latency, cost, and risk
- Comfort working with sensitive data under strict controls
Nice to have
- Fraud, risk, or AML modelling experience
- MLOps / feature stores / streaming data
- Experience with model governance in regulated settings
