About the role
You’ll own fraud strategy across the customer lifecycle, working closely with the AI/Data team to combine rules with machine-learning signals, and tuning the balance between protection and friction.
What you'll do
- Own fraud and risk strategy across onboarding, payments, and card
- Design and tune rules and work with ML models to catch fraud early
- Analyse losses and false positives; optimise the protection/friction balance
- Lead investigations and improve detection from what you learn
- Define risk metrics and report on program health
What we're looking for
- Experience in fraud/risk at a fintech, bank, or payments company
- Strong analytical skills; comfortable with data and SQL
- Understanding of ML-based detection and its trade-offs
- Calm, decisive judgement under pressure
- Clear communication with technical and non-technical teams
Nice to have
- Experience working directly with data-science teams
- Card and real-time payments fraud experience
- Scripting/automation skills
